Competition Information

REGISTRATIONS REQUIREMENTS

All contestants holding Malaysian identity card/MyKad/passport are eligible to pay a Local fee.
Contestants who DO NOT hold a Malaysian passport/Identity card/MyKad are required to pay an International fee.
Please bring contestant's IC (Identification Card) or passport for verification during registration. If there are any discrepancies in your registration, you may be required to provide additional information or make necessary fees adjustments.

Repertoire Submission: No changes to the repertoire are permitted once an application has been successfully processed and submitted.
Repertoire Selection: Contestants may select pieces from the ABRSM, Trinity College London, Rockschool (solo unaccompanied, no backing track) , or other examination board syllabus, including both current and past syllabus. Non-exam pieces are also strongly encouraged
Accompanist Requirement: Violin competitors are required to provide their own piano accompanists.
Memorization: Contestants are expected to memorize all pieces. Failure to memorize pieces may result in a lower score.
Repeats: Omit repeats unless there is a "da capo" mark.
Sheet Music: Contestants must provide TWO set of music scores for the judges.
Dress Code: Contestants are expected to adhere to a formal dress code during their performance.
Warm-Up Time: Each contestant will be allotted a specific amount of warm-up time before their performance.
Performance Feedback: Contestants will receive a comment sheet from the judges after their performance.
